Ten questions

Straight answers before you book.

The questions we hear before a trial at Activebodyhabits. If your week, joint, or company setup is not covered here, write to [email protected] or use the form. We reply within one working day.

I haven't trained in years — is the group too fast for me?

Beginner Reset is the usual start if you have been away from the gym. The room still runs as a live group, which means a shared clock and shared cues. Loads, ranges, and rest are set for you after the movement screen. You will not be asked to match the heaviest lift on the floor. If a pattern does not suit your body that day, the coach swaps it during the session. Most people who have been out for years find their pace within two or three visits. Put your training history on the enquiry form so the first hour is planned.

Do I need to book every session?

Yes. Every floor slot is capped at eight people, so we keep a live booking list. You book through the same thread we open after your trial, usually a week at a time. Peak hours fill first. If you cannot come, cancel at least six hours ahead so the space can go to the waitlist. Unused Ramp 10 sessions stay on your pack until the ten-week window ends. Unlimited members book the same way. They just have no session cap. Walking in without a booking is only possible if a space is still free ten minutes before the start.

What if I miss a week for work travel?

Tell us as soon as the dates are firm. On a monthly plan you can pause for up to four weeks in a calendar year, which stops the clock and keeps your progression notes. On Ramp 10 the unused sessions stay inside the ten-week window. If the trip lands in a load or peak phase, we write a short travel set you can run with a hotel bench or bodyweight. When you return, the next review resets volume rather than forcing you to pick up the heaviest week you missed. A single missed week is common. We plan around it.

Are sessions mixed-level?

Strength Ramp, Conditioning 45, and Hybrid Build welcome mixed levels in the same hour. The group shares the warm-up, the clock, and the coaching. The load on the bar, the bike damper, and the accessory work are individual. Beginner Reset is a closed six-week block for people who want a slower introduction. Mobility & Recovery is mixed by design. The movement screen on day one is what lets a mixed room stay safe. If you need a quieter hour, say so on the form and we will point you to the midday slots, which usually run with more space.

Can I come twice a week only?

Yes. Two sessions a week is a solid base for Strength Ramp or Hybrid Build. We write the cycle around the days you can actually keep. Progress will be slower than a four-day week, and that is expected. We still review at weeks four, eight, and twelve. Habit coaching between sessions helps if the floor time is limited. Beginner Reset asks for two visits a week for six weeks. If your diary only allows two days, tell us which ones. We would rather lock those and do them well than write a plan you cannot attend.

What should I eat before a 06:30 session?

Keep it light and familiar. A small bowl of oats, a banana with yoghurt, or toast with peanut butter about sixty to ninety minutes before you train works for most people. If you wake at 05:30, a few bites and water is enough for the first weeks. Heavy, high-fat meals sit poorly when you need to squat or row. Bring a bottle. After the session, eat a meal with protein and carbohydrate within a couple of hours. If you train fasted and feel light-headed, tell the coach and we will sit you down, then adjust the next morning.

Do you have showers and lockers?

Yes. Changing rooms sit off the main floor with showers and lockers. Bring a lock if you want to leave valuables through the hour. Towels are not provided, so pack your own. The first visit includes a short walk-through so you know where bags go before the brief starts. Showers are busiest after the 18:30 and 19:00 slots. If you need to get to the office, the midday sessions leave more time. The lift from the CT Hub lobby reaches level 6. Step out, turn left, and the reception desk is on the studio side.

I have a knee issue — can you work around it?

Often yes, after we read your doctor's notes and run the movement screen. We do not diagnose or treat injuries. We do adjust stance, depth, and machine choice so you can train the rest of the body while the knee settles. Squats can become box squats, splits, or a stronger hinge pattern. Conditioning can move from runner to rower or bike. If pain increases during a set, we stop that pattern. You should get medical clearance before you start if the issue is recent or still under review. Bring any letter you have to the screen.

Is there a joining fee or contract?

There is no joining fee. Monthly plans have no lock-in. You can stop at the next renewal date, and you can pause for up to four weeks in a year. Ramp 10 is a pack of ten sessions used within ten weeks. It is not an auto-renewing contract. Trial Week is three sessions plus the screen, paid once. We take payment in Singapore dollars before the first booked session of a pack or month. Refunds follow the terms page. If a session is cancelled by the studio, it is restored to your pack or month.

Can my company book a block for staff?

Yes. We take corporate blocks from six people. The usual format is a closed hour on the floor, or a set of Hybrid seats plus habit coaching for a team that travels. We need a single billing contact, a shared start week, and a short note on goals and any injuries we should know about. Blocks run in twelve-week cycles like the public floor. Write to [email protected] with headcount and preferred hours. We reply with open slots and a simple agreement. There is no separate sales team. The same coaches run the hour.

Still unsure which hour fits?

Send the days you can keep and any joint history. We will match a slot and a format.
